Wearing a face covering in shops and supermarkets in England is to become mandatory from 24th July.   Health Secretary Matt Hancock told the Commons on Tuesday that it would " give people more confidence to shop safely and enhance protections for those who work in shops". Strong performance earns Anna Blackburn place on Beaverbrooks board

A strong performance from retail chain Beaverbrooks has earned managing director Anna Blackburn a place on the board, marking only the second time in the company's 99 year history that a non family member has served as a board director. One budding Midlands jewellery designer has been given a unique opportunity with the Museum of the Jewellery Quarter to be its first Jeweller in Residence, a project which aims to support emerging jewellery designers. This Friday see's the opening of Orkney jewellery designer, Sheila Fleet's new store in Glasgow.
