Lucara Diamond's stock rises ever higher after they rolled out yet another massive diamond from their treasure trove Karowe mine in Botswana, on the northern fringe of the Kalahari Desert.  This one, a 472 carat light brown stone, is reckoned to be the third largest ever recovered at the state-of-the-art mine, which was only comissioned in 2012 and has quickly become one of the biggest producers of diamonds in the world. Caroline Scheufele, Co-President and Creative Director of Swiss luxury jewellery and watch company Chopard, launched The Chopard Green Carpet Collection Award in Cannes last week. Mining organisations that have played a key role in  Chopard’s  Green Carpet Collections were present at the events.
