The Goldsmiths’ Craft & Design Council Awards 2017 Through this unique competition, The Goldsmiths’ Craft & Design Council promotes excellence in jewellery, smallwork, silversmithing and the allied crafts. The Goldsmiths’ Craft & Design Council (GC&DC) 2025 Awards Exhibition lands at the Goldsmiths’ Centre in Clerkenwell this summer, showcasing a curated selection of winning entries from this year’s GC&DC awards – the UK’s most prestigious accolades for jewellery, silversmithing, and the allied crafts.  Running from 2 July to 11 September, the exhibition will highlight extraordinary creativity, technical skills and original design across a breadth of disciplines. The Goldsmiths’ Craft & Design Council has announced that this year's exhibition of the 2025 award winning competition pieces will be on show at Goldsmiths’ Hall. British Hallmarking Council’s Touchstone and HALO Awards championing Hallmarking Enforcement and Education

The HALO (Hallmarking Awareness and Learning Online) Award 2024 was launched by the  British Hallmarking Council  in early June. This is the third year of the award which has gathered considerable momentum with many entrants demonstrating extremely creative and novel ways to interest customers in hallmarks. Online Jewellers are encouraged to describe items accurately and remind customers of the importance reassurance provided by hallmarks when buying online, particularly from unknown sources. Davina Mallinckrodt Appointed as Chair of the Board of Trustees of Cockpit Arts

Davina has been confirmed in the role on 8th April 2021, following her appointment as Chair-Elect in December 2020. She succeeds Cornelius Medvei, who has held the post for the past nine years.  Davina joins Cockpit following a year in which the award-winning social enterprise and leading creative business incubator has successfully supported its 150 strong maker community through the pandemic. Agustina Ros: A Glass Adventure

Agustina Ros is a young and promising glass jewelry artist who combines the sensitivity of art and the resolution of design. Born in Misiones, Argentina, she currently lives in Barcelona, the city where she has chosen to open her own studio with an international vision. Focused on the use of blown borosilicate glass, some pieces are then finished with metals such as gold and silver, and polished to improve the reflection of light. Her hungry desire to experiment, create and improve has already led her to receive several awards and to affirm the presence of her collections in international and creative contexts. Her creations are flexible interpretations of clean and organic forms, in which transparency represents the values of purity and originality.
