From 1 to 12 October 2025, the renowned traditional London jewellery house Wartski will present the exhibition »From Function to Fantasy: The Brooch. It focuses on the development of the brooch from a purely functional accessory to an artistic piece of jewellery. The exhibition brings together high-calibre loans from numerous public institutions, including the British Museum and the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Fitzwilliam Museum and the Musée Lalique, as well as selected objects from private collections. From Function to Fantasy: The Brooch 1st to 12th October 2025, 10:30am to 5pm Wartski, 60 St. James’s Street, London SW1A 1LE The exhibition will span the Bronze Age to the Contemporary, and include loans from museums including the V&A, the Fitzwilliam Museum, the Musée Lalique and the Schmuckmuseum, as well as the National Trust, English Heritage and the Goldsmiths’ Company.  The majority of the works will be drawn from private collections.   Brooches of wide ranging-inspirations and themes will be featured, as will Royal, French Imperial and Russian Imperial examples.  From Sarah Bernhardt to Suffragettes, Sir Edward Burne-Jones to Salvador
