British Hallmarking Council’s Touchstone and HALO Awards championing Hallmarking Enforcement and Education

The HALO (Hallmarking Awareness and Learning Online) Award 2024 was launched by the  British Hallmarking Council  in early June. This is the third year of the award which has gathered considerable momentum with many entrants demonstrating extremely creative and novel ways to interest customers in hallmarks. Online Jewellers are encouraged to describe items accurately and remind customers of the importance reassurance provided by hallmarks when buying online, particularly from unknown sources. Appointment: Pandora picks Alexander Lacik as new CEO

Denmark’s jeweller Pandora has named Alexander Lacik as its new Chief Executive, who will oversee a plan to help the firm regain its competitive edge in a weak retail market. MidCentury Modern The main building at this show, Christison Hall, is named after McCollugh Christison, Secretary of the Alleyn Club from 1906 till 1967, and long time College and Estate Governor. The Contemporary Craft Festival came about when three Bovey Tracey craft businesses joined forces and formed a non-profit making company with the aim to bring a large craft Fair to Bovey Tracey.
