Driven by our mission to celebrate the exquisite and extraordinary craftsmanship of Wales First Of March presents Beyond the Dragon - a series of events and programmes that together create a contemporary narrative of Wales through the language of craft.

On September 16th First Of March will present a unique collection of decorative pieces, objet d’art and gifts featuring fabulous gold and silver jewellery and metal art by leading Makers of the First Of March community - Mari Thomas, Rauni Higson MBE, Suzie Horan and Rebecca Oldfield.

Set within the iconic vaults of the Royal Society of Arts this exclusive curation will showcase some of the very best contemporary work being made in Wales today and a rare opportunity to experience this beautiful work first hand.

Meticulously crafted each piece holds within it a story of Wales - taking inspiration from its language, landscape or culture. Collectively they present a story of Wales that takes you beyond the dragon and traditional motifs of Wales - a contemporary story of Wales - proud of its heritage, confident of its future and one that will challenge and dispel perceptions of traditional Welsh craft.

The exhibition is free of charge but registration through eventbrite is required - please see link below .
