Need for flexible working may underpin gender pay gap

A desire for flexible working arrangements and a reluctance to relocate for more senior roles were the reasons behind a gender pay gap in the jewellery retail industry that was higher than the national average, research has shown. The Goldsmiths’ Craft & Design Council (GC&DC) 2025 Awards Exhibition lands at the Goldsmiths’ Centre in Clerkenwell this summer, showcasing a curated selection of winning entries from this year’s GC&DC awards – the UK’s most prestigious accolades for jewellery, silversmithing, and the allied crafts.  Running from 2 July to 11 September, the exhibition will highlight extraordinary creativity, technical skills and original design across a breadth of disciplines.
