Material Romance

CAA, London

13 - 19 February 2018

Material Romance celebrates materiality, the passion for and exploration of raw materials and their transformation into objects of desire.

The designer / makers of the exhibits are all students on the Jewellery & Silversmithing BA degree course at The Cass School of Art, Architecture and Design.

A love of experimentation combined with the pleasure of creating is revealed in works by makers in the early stages of their careers, eager to embrace new opportunities.

Their pieces demonstrate a wide-ranging, individual interpretation of the theme of Material Romance, in a variety of responses that reflects the diversity of the group, both culturally and creatively.
