Bishopsland Educational Trust has amassed an extensive collection of over 3,000 hand tools and machinery generously donated by retired silversmiths or as a legacy gifted by their families. As a result of these gifts, we have created the ‘Tools Library’ initiative under the auspices of the Bishopsland charity. The City of Glasgow College ran a competition during Lockdown linked to their HND Jewellery students coursework to design a brooch for the First Minister Nicola Sturgeon to wear to COP26. It was to be based on rising sea levels as an effect of Climate Change.
