Following the success of their 2021-22 programme, the Trustees of the South House Workshop Trust are delighted to announce three fully-funded silversmithing graduate scholarships for 2022-23. Eileen Gatt has recently given up her Edinburgh studio in order to transform the former post office, a few miles from Inverness, into a centre for ethical making and design. Goldsmiths’ Fair have announced this year’s graduate exhibitors. The Fair is the foremost platform to launch the careers of emerging precious metal designer-makers and the event will welcome 10 new graduate exhibitors. The Goldsmiths’ Company's Studio Internship Graduate Award ( SIGA ), open to recent graduates - within five years of graduation - aims to enhance the skills of the next generation of silversmiths. Recipients are given the opportunity to train with the country’s leading silversmiths and receive funding to exhibit new work at a Goldsmiths’ Centre group show from 5-12 September 2017. The current SIGA recipients are Patrick Davison, Hamish Dobbie, Errin Quinn and Dominic Simon.
