Gordon Marks the retail jeweller, has today revealed that they have been contacted by the police due to a customer falling prey to a vicious scam. A Gordon Marks representative said, "Unfortunately a lady was scammed yesterday by being sent in to our jewellers to purchase a diamond ring by people pretending to be police. Its all incredibly sad." The scam works like this, according to police: The scammers already have their target’s details, they then call them by phone and pretend to be the police. This week more than 500 artists, designers, makers, artisans, collectors and patrons of craft descended on the V&A to celebrate the beginning of London Craft Week 2017, which takes place across London from 3 - 7 May.
