Call for Applications: Emerging Metalworker of the Year Award Prize: £1,000 Opening date for applications: 3 March 2025 Closing date for applications: 1 July 2025 Supported by Lucy and Laurence Butcher This award celebrates an early-career heritage craftsperson (in the first 5 years of their professional practice) who has made an outstanding start to their metalworking career. The award winner will be highly skilled amongst their peers, whilst raising the perceived value of their craft through sharing and awareness raising. They will have given themselves a fantastic chance of achieving long-term success, perhaps overcoming disadvantage or setbacks along the way.

Work by Harriet Laurence will be on display University of Brighton MA Craft Graduation Show 15 September to 6 November 2018 This display of exciting, contemporary work by MA students at the University of Brighton ranges from jewellery and ceramics to enamelling, polymers and metal work. The show gives you a chance to see what inspires the students, whether experimenting with waste materials, connecting to landscapes or collaborating with particular groups of people.
