The blockbuster summer exhibition at the Goldsmiths’ Company - Grant Macdonald: International Silversmith has had an extension to its opening hours due to popular demand and visitor footfall.
The exhibition documents five decades of Grant Macdonald design and excellence of craftmanship displaying the unique creativity, execution and entrepreneurism of the London based silversmithing house.
Featuring an unrivalled quality of gold and silver items in contemporary designs and showcasing master craftsmanship to the highest order, the exhibition will now be open from Monday to Saturday from 5 July to the end of the exhibition run 26 July.
This major exhibition documents the career of the esteemed silversmith, by bringing together precious objects designed by Macdonald to tell the inspiring story of the exceptional British craftsmanship and innovative design that is celebrated everywhere from UK civic institutions to royal palaces throughout the Gulf states of Qatar, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Oman and Saudi Arabia.
