BAFTA award winning reality TV personality, fashion blogger, style writer and jewellery designer Rosie Fortescue answers the benchpeg Q&A.
What’s your name, and what do you for a living?
RF: Rosie Fortescue, jewellery designer and fashion blogger.
How did you come to work in the jewellery industry?
RF: I have been obsessed with jewellery for as long as I can remember so it seemed the natural progression of fulfilling my dream.
How would you describe your work to someone who doesn’t know it?
RF: I design affordable luxury jewellery from women of all ages.
What is your creative process?
RF: I write down notes or take photos of architecture or colours that I see out and about day-to-day so I have a book full of inspiration which makes the design process much easier.
Where do you love to shop?
RF: I either shop online or Baar and Bass on the Kings Road is a great boutique with a huge variety of exclusive brands (including mine!)
What piece of jewellery do you most treasure?
RF: A vintage Rolex that I bought 2 years ago
What piece of jewellery do you most desire?
RF: I can't leave the house without a watch so for me it's my all time favourite.
If you could only be remembered for one piece of your work, what would it be?
RF: My jewellery
What would be your advice to someone starting out in the industry?
RF: Starting a brand needs 100% commitment through both the highs and lows so get ready for the roller coaster!
