Handmade Oxford | The International Contemporary Craft Festival
Handmade Oxford, one of the UK’s leading international curated craft festivals, is set within the spectacular surroundings of Waterperry Gardens in the heart of Oxfordshire.
Following an energising fifth edition—where over 170 outstanding makers transformed the lawns in front of Waterperry House with exceptional contemporary craft—we invite applications from designer–makers looking to reach new audiences and be part of one of the UK’s most inspiring craft festivals celebrating the very best of handmade.
Handmade Oxford is renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and engaged audience. Visitors travel specifically to discover and buy handmade work, meet makers like you in person, and deepen their understanding of craft through demonstrations and workshops.
The Festival combines:
- A rigorously curated showcase of contemporary craft
- Live demonstrations and hands-on workshops
- Artisan food, live music, and a relaxed yet purposeful buying environment
The result is a distinctive festival experience that benefits both exhibitors and visitors alike.
We welcome applications from individual makers, studios, groups, and organisations working to a high standard across all craft disciplines, including but not limited to: Ceramics, Jewellery, Textiles & Fashion Accessories, Glass, Furniture & Wood, Print & Paper, Metal, Outdoor sculpture, Mixed and experimental media.
A range of Stands, Trestle Tables and bring your own Gazebo options are available.
- Extend Your Presence: Demonstrate or Teach
Exhibiting at Handmade Oxford offers more than stand space.
- Live Demonstrations: Successful exhibitors may apply to run live demonstrations during the Festival.
These sessions are highly valued by visitors and opportunities are limited.
- Hands-on Workshops: We also invite proposals for paid, bookable workshops.
Opportunities are limited—early proposals are encouraged by the Handmade Oxford website.
