Call for Applications: Goldsmiths’ Craft & Design Council Awards
Founded in 1908, The Goldsmiths' Craft and Design Council is an organisation that promotes the highest standards in design and craftsmanship within the jewellery, goldsmithing, silversmithing industry and allied crafts.
The annual design competition, known as the ‘Jewellery Oscars’, rewards excellence in technical skills and creative design in precious metals and related materials from ‘apprentices to masters’ and is highly respected within the industry.
Entries are invited and actively encouraged in all aspects of the trade, from new entrants to skilled craftsmen, apprentices and from education. The competition accommodates all craft and design activities in the profession, including specialist sections such as diamond mounting, setting, silversmithing, chasing, enamelling, 2D design - including CAD, jewellery, smallwork, technology and many more.
The final date for online entries is Sunday 15th January 2023.
The annual Awards reward excellence in technical skills and creative design in precious metals and related materials and is open to all in the jewellery, silversmithing and allied trades.
The Goldsmiths’ Craft & Design Council, which operates the competition, actively encourages craft persons and designers in the industry, apprentices, students and hobbyists, to enter their work. Everyone is encouraged, it’s open to anyone and free to enter.
For 2023, the Awards comprises of 32 competition categories, four new Patron Awards and two bursaries..

15 January Online entry deadline for ALL entries
18-20 January All 2D & 3D entries submission and post-in days at the Goldsmiths’ Centre in London
6 March Awards Ceremony at Goldsmiths’ Hall, London
May 2 - June 15 Live Awards Exhibition at the Goldsmiths’ Centre, London
