Call for Applications: Goldsmiths’ Company Assay Office Make Your Mark Awards 2019
Students and designers are invited to design a piece of jewellery or silverware that celebrates the iconic London Hallmark. The Goldsmiths’ Company Assay Office will be presenting a range of exciting awards for both finished pieces or design drawings with a chance to have your work exhibited at Goldsmiths’ Hall during the Make Your Mark event on the 5th February 2019.
The winner of each category will receive £1,000. Runners up will receive £500. There will also be other prizes including exclusive career enhancing opportunities and each winner will recieve a special certificate. The winners will be revealed at an exclusive presentation at Goldsmiths’ Hall during the Make Your Mark event. This competition is open to current students, graduates and apprentices who completed their training within the last five years. See website for full details.
Make Your Mark is a free one day event led by the Goldsmiths’ Company Assay Office, open to all students, graduates, tutors and apprentices of the jewellery and allied trades. The event will be a one stop shop to learn everything you need to know about hallmarking, manufacturing and support networks, including key industry associations, suppliers and manufacturers to help you Make Your Mark in the industry. There will also be a packed schedule of talks and demonstrations and our Make Your Mark Awards prize giving. There will also be an exclusive free hallmarking registration package available to attendees.
