Call for Applications: European Prize for Applied Arts 2024
Initiated in 2009, in partnership with the City of Mons, the WCCE and supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, the European Prize for Applied Arts rewards creations of contemporary expression in the field of Applied Arts and Craft Design.
The call is open to all disciplines relating to the applied arts, which include ceramics, glass, textile, wood, paper, jewellery, furniture, accessories and ”artisan design”.
Winning projects will be selected on the basis of criteria of artistic merit, technical mastery and innovation.
Two prizes will be awarded
3.500€ awarded by the Ministry of Culture of Wallonia-Brussels Federation
3.500€ awarded by WCCE
Deadline for applications is 14 January 2024
Applicants are eligible to apply, if they are residing in a country that is a member of the Customs Union from the European Union.
Awards and opening will take place on 23 Nov 2024 and the exhibition will be open between 24 Nov 2024 – 16 February 2025!
