The Creative Industries Federation has launched a survey to examine the vital role sole traders and freelancers play in the UK’s creative industries, as part of intensive work on the Government's forthcoming industrial strategy.
As you will know, sole-traders and freelance workers account for a huge proportion of the creative workforce, but the nature of their employment means they are routinely overlooked or misunderstood in policy-making.
The Crafts Council is a member of the Federation and the survey will help both the Crafts Council and the Federation gather valuable information about self-employed creatives, investigating their working practices and how Government policy can best support them. It will provide key evidence for policymakers in the future.
Deadline to Participate
The survey deadline is 17 March.
Please fill in the ‘Crafts Council’ at question 4, unless you are a member of the Federation in your own right. All details will be anonymised in findings.
