Five Awards at Cockpit Arts open for application
Cockpit Arts are delighted to announce that there are four Cockpit Arts Awards now open for applications. All Awards comprise business support provided by Cockpit Arts as well as subsidised studio space for one year.
The Cockpit Arts / The Worshipful Company of Basketmakers’ Award
Open to a craftsperson practicing basket making.
Our aim is to welcome a basket maker to Cockpit Arts to grow as an independent maker and business owner.
Closing date - noon, 4 October 2019
The Cockpit Arts / Haberdashers’ Award
Open to makers working in knit to assist them to set up in business.
Closing date - noon, 8 October 2019
NEW AWARD The Cockpit Arts / The Worshipful Company of Feltmakers’ Award
Open to all makers using felt as their main material.
Open to all milliners using any material.
We are looking for makers who are seeking business development support and can demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit and essential craft skills.
Closing date – noon, 14 October 2019
The Cockpit Arts / Ros Stracey Ceramic Residency
Open to a ceramicist who has a strong desire to experiment and take risks with their practice.
We are looking for makers who demonstrate originality, innovation, creativity, craft skill and quality in the work and concepts presented.
Closing date - noon, 22 October 2019
The Cockpit Arts / Leathersellers’ Award
Open to talented makers working with leather who are seeking business development support to take their creative business to the next level.
Closing date – noon, 24 October 2019
