Call for Applications: Alight 2019
Open call for Jewellery and Silversmithing
Visual Arts Scotland are seeking applications from contemporary jewellers and silversmiths for our Alight 2019 open exhibition at the Royal Scottish Academy Gallery, Edinburgh, 26 January- 22 February 2019
VAS explores the regions where artforms crossover, especially those between the fine and applied arts, and we are looking for work which demonstrates conceptual thinking and innovation, as well as outstanding design and craftsmanship in jewellery and silversmithing. We are also particularly keen to encourage submissions from practitioners whose work explores and promotes sustainability and ethical practices.
We are delighted to announce that renowned ethical jeweller, Ute Decker, will be exhibiting with us as an invited artist and that we have two great new prizes, which promote ethical practice in jewellery and silversmithing.
