Trafford Centre joins the British Fashion Council’s (BFC) patronage, becoming part of a community committed to futureproofing the fashion industry.
Trafford Centre is proud to become the British Fashion Council’s first patron in the North West, celebrating the region’s long-lasting commitment to fashion and to support the UK’s design talent of the future.
As a landmark retail destination, featuring high street brands to premium designer wear and everything else in between, Trafford Centre is at the heart of fashion in Manchester and across the North West. This perfectly positions the centre to embrace the values of the British Fashion Council and help to drive change and ambition within the industry.
With activations kicking off this autumn/winter, Trafford Centre is the first Northern retail destination to become part of the British Fashion Council’s patron network and will play a vital role in championing the organisation’s goals to amplify a global narrative for the fashion retail sector.
Trafford Centre joins the 69 existing patrons of the BFC including John Lewis, Selfridges, and Marks & Spencer, all who bring their industry knowledge to empower growth and innovation. With the centre’s collective of over 200 retail brands, Trafford Centre is backed by a diverse fashion offering that will help to amplify excellence for the fashion industry’s community platform.
Simon Layton, Centre Director at Trafford Centre, said: “Trafford Centre’s patronage of the British Fashion Council is an incredibly exciting relationship for us, and we are thrilled to be joining a community that advocates for fashion industry excellence. We look forward to sharing more on the activations we are currently planning for later this year.”
Antonia Wigan, Commercial Director, BFC commented: “We are delighted to welcome Trafford Centre as the British Fashion Council’s first patron in the North West. Their commitment reflects the strength, creativity, and commercial opportunity that exists within the region. As one of the UK’s most iconic retail destinations, Trafford Centre offers a powerful platform to support and spotlight British fashion talent and businesses. This partnership plays a vital role in extending the BFC’s reach, ensuring our work resonates nationally”.
