Royal College of Art ranked world's top art & design university for fifth year

The ranking consolidates its position as the world’s internationally renowned art and design university, offering unrivalled opportunities in art and design. 

Dr Paul Thompson, Vice-Chancellor of the Royal College of Art, said:

The QS University Rankings assesses the best international universities based on three assessment areas: academic reputation, employer reputation and research impact. The rankings are based on the opinions of academics and employers. 

Ben Sowter, Director of Research at QS, said:

‘When surveyed, the global academic community’s feeling remains clear: no Art & Design institution has fostered higher academic standards than the RCA. This is evidenced by its perfect score for our Academic Reputation indicator, which accounts for the expert insight of over 1,700 faculty specialising in the field.’ 

The endorsement comes after the College’s recently launched GenerationRCA campaign, an ambitious five-year programme representing the most significant development in the RCA’s history.
