Independent jewellery brand Jana Reinhardt Jewellery is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2026, marking two decades since master goldsmith Jana Reinhardt founded the business in London.

The milestone also coincides with 30 years since both Reinhardt and her husband and business partner Ross Cutting began their careers in goldsmithing, bringing together decades of craftsmanship and design expertise.
Jana launched the brand in March 2006 after registering as self-employed and setting up a small workspace at Cockpit Arts in London. During the early years she balanced developing her own collections with work in Hatton Garden and teaching jewellery classes at City Lit.
Her training began in East Germany with a traditional apprenticeship in Leipzig before she studied jewellery design at the Zeichenakademie in Hanau, one of Germany’s leading jewellery academies. She later achieved the Master Goldsmith qualification, a prestigious accreditation demonstrating advanced technical mastery.
Ross Cutting, who joined the business full-time in 2009, holds a jewellery degree from London Guildhall and expanded the brand’s capabilities through stone-setting and bespoke commissions.
In the company’s early years, collections focused on intricate floral designs. Following Ross’ arrival, the couple shifted towards smaller, more commercial pieces and began exhibiting at trade fairs.
“It was a very different time,” the founders recall. “Online sales weren’t really a thing. If you wanted to sell jewellery, you had to sell through shops.”

The brand relocated from London to Worthing, West Sussex in 2012, continuing to supply retailers while building its own e-commerce platform. As online demand increased, the company gradually phased out wholesale and now sells exclusively through its own website.
Today the brand has become particularly recognised for its handmade animal jewellery collections, with hundreds of designs created over the years.
Sustainability plays a central role in the company’s operations, with the use of recycled precious metals, plastic-free packaging and tree planting through Ecologi to help offset carbon emissions.
Animal welfare is also a key part of the brand’s identity. A dedicated jewellery collection raises funds for organisations including PETA, OVAID, NAWT and Animal Aid, with more than £20,000 raised to date.
To mark the 20-year milestone, the company is launching anniversary promotions alongside a competition to win a solid gold hummingbird necklace set with diamonds, one of the brand’s best-known designs.
“We honestly couldn’t have done this without our customers,” say Ross and Jana, “Every order, review and recommendation has helped us reach this milestone.”
