F.Hinds, one of the UK’s leading high street jewellers, celebrated a fantastic launch of their new Dementia UK collection at their Ashford branch on Friday 30th May.

The collection is a new, meaningful initiative created to support Dementia UK and the crucial work of their Admiral Nurses, and features a stunning Silver and Diamond Heart Locket (RRP £69.99) and Dementia pin badges – now available to purchase in F.Hinds branches nationwide, with 100% of profits donated to the charity.

The launch in Ashford was attended by Dementia UK representative Lucy, who was on hand to offer customers the opportunity to learn more about the charity’s services in supporting those struggling with dementia, as well as their families. Leaflets with useful information were handed out to the public signposting the charity’s work, and Lucy also spent time speaking to the branch’s staff on the importance of their partnership.

To further mark the occasion, an exciting raffle was run and drawn in the store, with prizes such as beautiful jewellery pieces and gift vouchers being won by excited customers. The ‘Name the Bear’ competition was also drawn, with the lovely teddy Ruby finding her new home with a delighter winner.

Thanks to the combined efforts of the in-store competitions and sales of the Dementia UK collection (of which an impressive 100% of profits are donated directly to the charity), the Ashford branch has already raised £300, culminating in a fantastic country-wide running total of £6,500. The total is set to increase further in the coming weeks and will help to fund expert advice and compassionate emotional support for families caring for loved ones living with dementia.

Joanna Sullivan, Deputy Director of Fundraising at Dementia UK said "We're grateful to the team at F.Hinds for their fundraising efforts, and have been impressed with the passion and creativity they have brought to the partnership to create this collection. We have already seen the partnership raise both funds for our dementia specialist Admiral Nurses and awareness for the condition itself, and look forward to working with F.Hinds over the next three years to help support as many people as possible."

Stacey Bell, Retail Scheme Director at County Square, said “It’s great to see F.Hinds working closely with their charity partner Dementia UK and we were proud to have the launch event of their new charity initiative held at County Square Ashford’

Natasha House, Marketing Manager at F.Hinds, commented “We’d like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who has purchased from our Dementia UK Collection, and who came along to our collection launch in Ashford. At F.Hinds, we are passionate about standing with charitable organisations that do so much for our community, and we are proud that we have already donated £3,500 to assist in funding their brilliant work, thanks to our generous customers. If you haven’t shopped the collection already, pop into your local F.Hinds store and take a look at what’s on offer!”

Those who have not yet got involved in supporting Dementia UK can also head to F.Hinds’ social media channels for the chance to win one of the signature Silver and Diamond Heart Lockets worth £69.99. The competition is set to close on 22nd June, so customers are encouraged to enter soon!
