The London jeweller’s annual Christmas decoration for 2026 combines the compass and the North Star, two motifs from its Talisman collections, in a keepsake about finding your way home.

Dower & Hall has unveiled The Guiding Compass, the latest in its series of annual Christmas tree decorations.

The design draws on the compass and star motifs that have long appeared in the jeweller’s Talisman collections, where they stand for adventure, protection and following your own path. For Christmas, the two have been brought together in a single decoration: a compass ring around a radiant star at its centre, a reminder that however far we travel, something always guides us home.

“Stars and compasses have always had a special place in our Talisman collection,” says Dan Dower, co-founder and design director of Dower & Hall. “Both symbols of guidance, knowing where you’ve come from and finding the confidence to choose where you’re going. For Christmas, I wanted to bring these two symbols together. The four points become a compass, while the star at its centre becomes something more emotional – a star to guide you home.”

The decoration is cast in pewter and plated in silver or gold, which catches the Christmas tree lights and brings out the sculptural detail of the star. Each one is engraved with the year, 2026, making it a collectable keepsake to bring out each Christmas.

Dower & Hall was founded in 1990, and its jewellery is made by hand in its London workshop. Its pieces have appeared in magazines, on red carpets and in films around the world.

The Guiding Compass is available exclusively from Dower & Hall.
