A new consultancy dedicated to responsible practice in the jewellery industry has launched in the UK. Credere, founded by long‑standing sustainability specialist Victoria Waugh, builds on the work of her previous consultancy, V&V.  Now focusing exclusively on the jewellery sector, the consultancy offers brands practical, commercially grounded support as they navigate increasing expectations around ethics, transparency and environmental performance.

With experience working across supply chains, certification bodies and leading jewellery brands, over the last ten years Waugh has supported numerous businesses of all sizes through complex sustainability challenges.   “Jewellery businesses are under growing pressure to demonstrate credible, transparent action,” she says. “Credere exists to cut through complexity and give brands the clarity, tools and support they need to make meaningful progress, without losing sight of commercial reality. We believe every business - whatever its size - should have access to the support needed to grow sustainably”

Credere offers traditional consultancy services alongside ongoing advisory support, acting as an external sustainability lead for businesses that need expertise without the cost of a full‑time hire.

As a passionate supporter of small businesses, Waugh’s consultancy also continues to offer services tailored to the needs of designer-makers and independent brands.

A focused offer for jewellery businesses

Credere provides strategic and hands‑on support across six core areas:

  • Purpose & Strategy – Clarifying values, setting direction and aligning sustainability with commercial goals.
  • Responsible Sourcing – Reducing risk by building traceable supply chains and improving material stewardship.
  • Carbon Management – Understanding emissions and developing credible reduction plans.
  • Due Diligence – Establishing policies and governance frameworks to meet legal, ethical and investor expectations.
  • Certification – Strengthening brand credibility by achieving B Corp, Positive Luxury and Responsible Jewellery Council standards.
  • Education & Training – Equipping teams with sector‑specific sustainability learning to drive positive change.
