BUSCH offers a comprehensive range of carbide round drills, particularly for machining hard materials that are especially difficult to cut, such as platinum, titanium, white gold and jewellery steel. From the classic Figure 1 with standard cutting-edge design to Figure 1AU with optimised cutting angles to figures (S421 and 421) with medium (X) and fine (FX) double cut design.

Figures 1 and 1AU are available from size 003 (= 0.3 mm) and are particularly suitable for typical applications in the setting of gemstones or other delicate goldsmith work. Figure 1AU is now available up to size 031 (= 3.1 mm) and has been supplemented by size 035 (= 3.5 mm).

The double cut round burs Figure 421 and S421 are available up to a maximum size of 060 (= 0.6 mm) and in medium (X) and fine (FX) versions. Here too, size 035 (= 3.5 mm) has recently been added.

The medium and fine double cut are ideal for smooth, chatter-free working on particularly hard materials. This advantage is particularly beneficial when working with larger workpiece diameters, enabling precise results on materials that are difficult to machine.
