PRESS RELEASE: BUSCH - Expansion of the popular AU series product range

The finest grain carbide instruments of the AU series from BUSCH have always impressed with their outstanding cutting performance and service life when working with hard, particularly difficult-to-process materials such as platinum, titanium, white gold and jewellery steel. For clear identification of these high-quality instruments, all AU series figures have a golden shank ring.
The AU series has recently been expanded with the addition of new sizes of the popular 1AU (round burr), 38AU (cone) and 4203AU (pearl twist drill) figures.
The 1AU round burr has been expanded to include sizes 024, 026, 028 and 035 and is now available in sizes 003 (0.3 mm) to 035 (3.5 mm).
Figure 38AU has been expanded to include size 005 (0.5 mm), specifically for the finest work, such as cutting out pavé settings.

Finally, the 4203AU twist drill, which is specially designed for drilling pearls, has been expanded to include another small size (006 / 0.6 mm).
Unlike classic twist drills, the pearl drill has 4 instead of 2 cutting edges and is therefore ideal for use on fragile pearls or coral.
