The humble apple pip is the focus of The Pip Collection, the new autumn range from Brighton-based ethical brand Little by Little Jewellery which was founded last year by designer Annabel Cox and Georgina Fuggle, food editor, cookery book writer and photographer.

Working in conjunction with international charity Action Against Hunger, Little by Little's third collection in 12 months is once again all about food. Its first two collections the Seville and the Wedge were influenced by segments of the Andalusian Seville orange and slices of watermelon respectively and the third, inspired by the apple pip, comprises two necklaces, one bracelet and two pairs of earrings.

‘What we love about using edible produce as our inspiration is that you get to immortalise organic, ephemeral items and make them longlasting.’ commented designer Annabel Cox.

As with all Little by Little’s collections, it is made up of 24 carat gold-plate, 925 Sterling Silver and intenselycoloured enamel. The signature piece in the collection is the heavy weight chunky yellow gold-plated necklace, which features an elegant navy clasp.

As with the previous ranges, this one is manufactured in Lima, Peru, to help provide jobs and training for local people with no experience in the jewellery industry jobs and contrinute to the local economy by purchasing locally sourced silver.

The brand’s three collections are competitively priced from £32 and are available to purchase on its website: www.littlebylittlejewellery.com
