Fei Liu's magnificent Blue of Dreams tiara, worth £11 million and featuring a stunning 88 carat sapphire, was placed ceremoniously on the head of Chinese beauty queen Guan Siyu last week when she won the Miss World China 2017 pageant in Dalian, China.

The Fei Liu Fine Jewellery founder collaborated with the New Silkroutes Group Ltd to create his amazing  masterpiece and took a full 9 months to complete it - in a painstaking process of design and intricate craftsmanship.

Look closely and you will see the majestic 88ct Sri Lanka blue sapphire set in platinum, six high-grade over sapphires, and ribbons set with over 1,200 graded sapphires. Mix in 3,200 of diamonds and 43 pearls and you have a dazzling and remarkable work of art.

Blue of Dreams was inspired by the ribbons flying fairy of the ancient Silk Road in Dunhuang.

The sapphire symbolises loyalty, bravery, wisdom and honesty, representing the spiritual beauty of Chinese women. The pearl symbolises the elegance of oriental women.

At £11 million and weighing in at more than 470 grams, Blue of Dreams is the highest value coronation tiara among all the global beauty contests.

Guan Siyu, 23, won the pageant, fending off competition from 30 other candidates from across the country. She will now represent China in the official Miss World pageant which will be held on 18 November 2017 at the Crown of Beauty Theatre, Sanya, China.

Let's hope Fei Liu Fine Jewellery is once again on show at this global extravaganza to be captured for all the world to see!
