Tom Rucker was awarded five Gold Awards at the Goldsmiths’ Craftsmanship and Design Awards 2017 this week, at Goldsmiths’ Hall, for his latest piece, the ‘GEO.NIOT' Brooch.
The GEO.NIOT Brooch features a bright blue platinum that Tom invented and developed over many months and is a world first. The brooch is made using his cutting edge laser technique and decorated with pure white diamonds.

Gold - The Brown & Newirth Jewellers’ Award
Gold - The Senior Award 2017
The Goldsmiths’ Craftsmanship and Design Awards are the most important awards of the year as all work is reviewed and judged by highly skilled craftspeople from the industry and is therefore the highest accolade one can achieve, earning the Industry label the ‘Jewellery Oscars’.
Tom says of his five star win, “The occasion brings to mind a favourite quote of mine by Liberace, “Too much of a good thing is wonderful!””
