Having received the coveted ‘KickStart Industry’s Choice Award’ at last year’s International Jewellery London, Alice Barnes is set to return to the show this September with new additions to her Pleated Collection.

The prize included a complimentary stand at IJL 2018 and Alice will feature alongside some of the industry’s best talent in the prestigious Design Gallery on stand R28. “It was such an honour to win the award last year and I can’t wait to exhibit as an established designer,” says Alice. “As a KickStarter I made some invaluable contacts, gained several new stockists and received some great feedback on my work, so I’ve got lots to build on going forward.”

Following on from the success of the rings she launched at last year’s show, Alice is expanding her Pleated Collection with new gem set designs in bold colour ways. The new pieces continue the theme of paper inspired pleats and folds, with a dash of art deco styling and a contemporary edge to suit vintage lovers and geometric devotees alike. The annual KickStart Programme is now in its tenth year, and gives a platform to up-and-coming British jewellery designers within the first five years of business. This years KickStarters are Le Ster Jewellery, Elisavet Messi, Helen Rankin, Blush & Bashful, Natalie Perry Jewellery and Ruth Mary Jewellery.
