Inspired and informed by the ambience and ever-flowing emotions of the famous Gyan museum, the latest collection by Gyan Jewels reworks a historic architectural motif to create its latest collection of fine jewellery.
The new Lattice Collection is inspired by one of the Gyan Museum’s rare finds, a stone window which is a slice from the past that celebrates the rich history and vibrant culture of Rajasthan and in particular the pink city of Jaipur.
The collection reflects the perforated ornamental patterns (jalis) of this ancient window and reinterprets the silhouette with a contemporary twist. The new creations are set in rubies, Lapis Lazuli, onyx and framed by brilliant cut diamonds.
The Lattice Collection captures the beauty and purity of rubies. A favourite with nobility and Maharajas in India, the ruby became a talisman of passion, prosperity, and protection initiating the wearer into the sensual pleasures of life. In the Lattice Collection this gemstone’s magnificence has been elegantly paired with 18ct rose gold in a perfect harmony of setting and stone.
In a contrasting pairing, 18ct yellow gold accentuates the lush lapis lazuli, sourced from the mines of Afghanistan. Surrounded by exquisite diamonds the custom-cut gemstones enhance the lattice motif and suffuse each creation with harmony.
Gently reflecting the light, the warmth of 18ct rose gold magnifies the stark overtones of the deep black onyx from Madagascar. The stones are custom-cut and carefully matched to ensure perfect harmony on each motif.
