First they gave us burgers and now luxury jewellery makers Goldie Rox have turned their attentions to spaghetti as inspiration for the launch of a new range called 'Mangiare' from the bench of Roxanne Rajcoomar-Hadden.

A self-confessed foodie, Roxanne's designs are grounded in simple but evocative food sampled from a series of culinary experiences so her burger and french fry rings, launched as the Goldie Rox collection in 2014, established her as unique for combining her dual passions of food and gems.

Her burgers quickly became the coollest accessories on the street, along with the bespoke burger box they were presented in.

Three years later, her taste buds have been working away at the metal again but this time, she has headed to Sicily where she spent her childhood summers to rekindle memories of plates of any thing Italian with a pair of spaghetti and olive oil earrings, built along a square spaghetti frame, with golden chain olive oil drizzling down, leading the way as her signature piece...or dish!

Coarse cut sea salt is represented by diamonds and basil, the essence of Italy, comes in the form of green diamonds. For truffles, read black diamonds and some stunning drop earrings are, naturally, rooted in garlic.

Roxanne, who was the youngest rough diamond grader in the world for De Beers, said the Mangiare collection was all about the most simple things being some of the best.

She recently told the chiswickauctions.co.uk website: "Besides my insatiable appetite for fine jewellery, I get a lot of inspiration from my other passion, food.

"If it’s not the natural beauty and textures of the food we eat daily, then it’s the personal relationship we have with food. Food is an incredibly important part of my family. My father is an excellent cook, so I spent my childhood sitting on our kitchen worktop: chopping, tasting, cooking, discussing ingredients and different styles of cooking with him.

"I witnessed his passion to create something completely delicious for our family and friends and knew that one day I wanted to apply this passion to doing something that I loved and that people appreciated. My grandfather was a goldsmith, and even though I never met him, I have been told over the years that we shared the same love for shiny things and a good eat!"

"I want my clients to feel special day to day. My collections contain a lot of statement pieces and a certain amount of confidence comes with wearing them. My designs don’t follow trends, rather my own creative whims, which can also play a part in making them quite bold."
