Mappin & Webb has announced a collaboration with award winning RCA graduate designer and artist Beau Han Xu.
Drawing on nature and the ethereal, the London based designer captures and preserves inspirational moments in his creations, particularly the split second of beauty as a raindrop bursts with a splash.
Continuing a silver and glassware tradition spanning more than 240 years, Mappin & Webb continues pioneering innovation with this latest, exclusive product collaboration.
The Collection
An exquisite collection of twelve elegant glass shapes has been created, including Red, White, Rosé, Martini, Cocktail, Whiskey, Cognac, Shot Glass and, of course, Champagne, with a choice of three beautiful decanters.
Each handcrafted piece features Beau Cut™ zirconia, precision cut by Swarovski exclusively for Beau Han Xu. These are suspended in a carrier liquid in which they freely fall and sparkle. The warmer the liquid, the quicker the Beau Cut™ zirconia fall.
The considered curve of the handblown glass bowl, embracing the signature Beau Han Xu perfect water droplet, and the tall stem all contribute to the perfect glass design to best enhance the perception of wine, especially its bouquet.
