International Jewellery London, the jewellery industry trade fair event, has announced that Sarah Kitley-Spencer has been appointed as the new Event Manager.

Sarah Kitley-Spencer has worked at IJL for the past seven years and Reed Exhibitions for ten years.

In her former position as Marketing Manager at IJL, Sarah worked closely with her predecessor, Sam Willoughby and the wider team, to expand the show commercially - nationally and internationally.  She has been involved in implementing many of the market-leading features at IJL 2017, including the newly formatted seminar programme and the innovative 365-day strategy, encompassing content marketing, social media and industry support.

Sarah Kitley-Spencer commented:

“I am thrilled to be taking up this position. For the past seven years, I have had the privilege of helping to develop IJL as a high-profile platform - not just for buying but also networking, education and mentoring. The team and I have been actively involved in creating new and inspiring initiatives for the show and we are all looking forward to working with the industry and developing the show further.

‘I have a real passion for the jewellery industry, both in the UK and internationally, so it is very exciting to take on this new challenge, especially in this fast moving age of social media, e-commerce and innovative retail experiences.”

Sarah will report to Jacks Thomas, whose group includes The London Book Fair, which she has headed up for the four years that she has been at Reed Exhibitions. Before joining the company, Jacks was previously the CEO of Midas PR, a communications agency serving the creative industries.
