Amanda Li Hope has been selected as one of ten new makers to show for the first time at this year’s Goldsmiths’ Fair.

Amanda will be showing her handcrafted ethical fine jewellery, including award winning designs, her latest bespoke commissions and unveiling new compositions exclusively at the Fair.

One of the first Fairtrade and Fairmined Gold licensees, Amanda combines her values as a goldsmith with her background as an architect. Responsibly sourced materials, meticulous attention to detail and expert artisanship define each of her pieces.

Her work is known for her skill in hand alloying her own precious metals from scratch. This year, two of her award-winning necklace designs will be on show at Goldsmiths’ Hall. The Auroboros and Chromaticity necklaces, compositions which showcase Amanda’s signature use of handcrafted gradients in responsibly sourced gold.

The double award winning Chromaticity necklace is on show at Goldsmiths’ Hall, 3 July - 12 September, as part of the exhibition for the Goldsmiths’ Craft & Design Awards 24, and then will be part of Amanda’s showcase at the Fair in week one. Winning Silver and Bronze in this year’s awards, the Chromaticity necklace is a handwoven loop-in-loop chain, with a seamless gradient of white to red to green gold, using eighteen different hand formulated alloys using 22-carat Farimined Ecological Gold.

The Auroboros necklace, winner of the Bronze Award in Fairtrade Gold for the Goldsmiths’ Craft and Design Council in 2020, will also be on show at Amanda’s stand at Goldsmiths’ Fair. A chain constructed of individually formulated and hand formed bars, in eighteen different tones of gold to create a gradient, made using Fairtraide Gold and 100% recycled metals.
