The Birmingham Assay Office today announces that Doug Henry will be stepping down as Assay Master and Chief Executive Officer, with Roxanne Guest appointed as his successor, effective 1 April 2026.
Doug Henry has led the Birmingham Assay Office through a period of significant change, providing strong leadership and strategic direction. During his tenure, the organisation has maintained its reputation for quality, integrity, and service within the jewellery and precious metals industry, while adapting to evolving market conditions.
The Guardians and Wardens extend their sincere thanks to Doug for his commitment, leadership, and contribution to the organisation.
Roxanne Guest, currently Deputy Chief Executive, will assume the role of Assay Master and Chief Executive Officer from 1 April 2026. Roxanne brings operational experience within the Assay Office, having played a key role in delivering service performance, operational improvements, and business transformation initiatives.
Her appointment reflects a commitment to continuity, stability, and the ongoing development of the organisation.
