The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Stone Setter / Mounter to join the Taylor & Hart Workshop Team. As a Stone Setter / Mounter you will play a key role in crafting, finishing and repairing high quality jewellery pieces in gold and platinum. Your responsibilities will bridge precision stone setting and goldsmithing techniques, ensuring each piece meets our exacting standards for quality, durability, and aesthetic excellence. You will support production efficiency in setting, mounting, repairing and polishing work.

Work Listing

Setting diamonds and gemstones across a variety of styles (e.g. claw, pavé, bezel, channel)
Carrying out goldsmithing tasks including resizing, assembling, soldering, polishing and finishing
Ensuring all work meets internal quality standards and design specifications
Collaborating with the wider production team to meet deadlines and production targets
Identifying and flagging any quality or technical issues during production
Maintaining tools, workspace, and equipment to a high standard
Supporting ad-hoc workshop tasks as required

Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a professional stone setter and goldsmith
Strong microscope working skills
Ability to work with gold and platinum
Proficient in the use of a laser welding machine
Experience working with high volume and tight tolerances / deadlines
Basic knowledge of PC operations

Problem-solving mindset (especially for tricky settings or repairs)
