Experience the difference with Paspaley, a family owned,  Australian luxury brand with nearly 100 years of heritage. Paspaley is currently looking for a Senior Jewellery Designer to assist in the creation of collections and couture High Jewellery pieces. Your experience and artistic creativity will be highly valued and inspirational to others within and outside the Paspaley team.

Ideally you will have artistic creativity in being able to sketch and draw contemporary jewellery ideas when dealing and interacting with customers to secure sales; a truly rewarding process from design through to presentation of the finished piece.

What awaits you?

You will be responsible for:

  • Delivering products and ranges that align with Paspaley’s design philosophy
  • Respond to design briefs, and deliver concepts through to completed sketches, utilising a combination of hand-sketching techniques and computer-aided design software to create detailed designs.
  • Collaborate with clients on special commissions, and present concepts and final designs.
  • Create technical drawings and specifications for production, including accurate measurements, stone settings, and materials to ensure entire three-dimensional form.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as assisting jewellers on specifications and clarification to bring designs to life and ensure technical and deliverable feasibility.
  • Conduct research on trends and customer preferences, as well as emerging industry technologies, techniques, and materials.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to assist with marketing campaigns and provide information to sales teams and product training documents
  • Managing timelines to expected standards and requirements of product design to senior leaders
  • Get the opportunity to create at least two design briefs each year from your own initiative, for either one-off pieces, or collections.

  • A strong portfolio of jewellery designs that showcase your creativity, technical proficiency, and style, as well as photos of the finished piece where possible.
  • Excellent hand-sketching and rendering skills to effectively communicate design concepts and ideas.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as Rhino
  • Ability to create technically accurate designs, including measurements of the entire three-dimensional form.
  • Understanding of jewellery manufacturing processes, and sound knowledge of gemstones, precious metals, and other materials used in jewellery desired.
