For nearly 50 years Ian Gallacher Jewellers has been making the finest bespoke diamond jewellery and has a well-earned reputation for quality, personal service and value.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and confident sales assistant to join our growing team in our busy Manufacturing Jewellers Showroom.

Skills required:

Confident and friendly manner, providing excellent customer service at all times.

Trustworthy, and a hard-working individual accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment, with an ability to work well within a team.

Retail experience is required, jewellery retail preferred.

A good knowledge of jewellery manufacture is desirable, although not essential as full training will be provided.

The candidate will have the opportunity to work face to face with clients to create bespoke jewellery, designed to their specifications, or redesigning the clients existing jewellery, so a knowledge of design or an interest in design is an advantage.

Good time management is essential.

This is a full-time post, with candidate required to work Monday to Saturday with a fixed day off during the week, with the opportunity to work Sunday over time in the month of December.

Salary negotiable and dependent upon experience.

We supply diamond rings, bracelets and necklaces to suit every style and budget, and because jewellery is a big investment and something you will want to wear for many years to come, we want you to get it right. This is why we will take the time to get to know you and make sure you find the piece that is perfect for you. Although we stock a fantastic range of loose diamonds and finished pieces, we won’t push you to buy something from our current collection that isn’t perfect, and are happy to design bespoke items. With trusted relationships built up over years with our diamond suppliers, we can help you find your dream diamond.

The business is now owned by second generation, Andrew Gallacher, ensuring family values and quality of product and service is safe for the future.

Andrew is proud to have grown the team to include a mixture of young, enthusiastic team members, and more experienced staff that have been with the company for a number of years.
