We operate two high end jewellery shops and are looking to hire proactive and personable Sales Assistants to join our experienced and friendly team at our jewellery shops, in the heart of Hatton Garden, London.

This role plays a vital part in delivering excellent customer service and sales deliverables, promoting products, and supporting store operations as needed. This position has an opportunity to develop your existing knowledge, build on your current sales capability, build strong communication, develop customer relations and build on your knowledge within the world of diamonds and other precious stones and exquisite jewellery.

This role is ideal for an individual who has already worked within this environment or has a desire to learn, has a natural sales ability and a passion for jewellery. We are looking for someone who possesses excellent interpersonal skills, and someone who can demonstrate a very positive shopping experience for our loyal and new customers.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their initial enquiries in a professional manner
Provide product information and recommendations and seek support as needed to close sales and calculate pricing.
Maintain visual merchandising standards to ensure attractive product displays
Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system, including handling cash and card payments with support from the senior sales if needed.
Support the team with any stock level maintenance, organise stockroom areas, and assist with any inventory counts as needed.
Support store organisation through excellent time management and organisational skills
Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when responding to customer calls or inquiries
Build your knowledge of the products and be involved within any training and learning opportunities.

Requirements

Fluency in English
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse customers
Basic maths skills in order to be able to calculate accurate pricing if needed.
Organised with effective time management abilities to prioritise tasks efficiently
Previous experience in merchandising or retail sales within fine jewellery ideal but not essential.
Any recent Jewellery or Gemmology qualifications without experience might work.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in visual presentation and stock control
Ability to demonstrate good phone etiquette and upselling techniques
A friendly, approachable demeanour with strong interpersonal skills
Basic Computer skills like Microsoft office and also Email etiquette.
Experience in social media and e commerce would be beneficial.
