The Clock Workshop is a third generation business of horologists which is now run by Steve Fletcher like his father and grandfather before him. After gaining first class qualifications from a British Horological Institute college course in 1973, Steve began making and repairing clocks and watches himself. He is the resident clock and watch expert on the BBC’s The Repair Shop.

The Clock Workshop provides repair, restoration and conservation services for watches and clocks and has a team of experienced watchmakers, clockmakers, a clock technician and a case restorer.

About the Job

After growth within the business and the move to a new premises we now need an in-house jeweller who specialises in repair and restoration work.

As horologists, we are expanding our clock and watch repair service provision and adding other restoration services to compliment these.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced self employed jeweller who specialises in restoration.

  • Confident and experienced in repair and restoration work
  • Able to provide accurate customer quotations
  • Understanding each unique repair requirement
  • Completion of repair and restoration jobs to a high standard

About us

Steve’s grandfather started work in Witney in 1910 and set up his own shop – a business which was carried on by Steve’s father. After gaining first class qualifications from a British Horological Institute college course in 1973, Steve began making and repairing clocks and watches himself. He regularly services clocks that his grandfather and father worked on, continuing 100 years of family craftsmanship and customer service.
