Job Type Permanent, full-time
Holidays: 24 days per annum, plus 8 bank holidays

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Team Leader to join our dynamic production team. Reporting directly to the Production Manager, this role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production processes.
The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing and optimising daily production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to schedules. This position requires strong leadership, organisational skills, and a hands-on approach to managing teams and improving processes.
Role Responsibilities
Production Operations:
- Assisting in planning, coordinating, and overseeing daily production schedules to meet customer deadlines.
- Ensuring production runs efficiently and meets quality standards.
- Monitoring workflow, identifying bottlenecks, and recommending solutions to improve efficiency.
- Assisting in managing inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods.
Team Leadership:
- Supervising and supporting production staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
- Training and mentoring team members, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
- Addressing staff concerns and escalating any critical issues to the Production Manager.
Quality Control:
- Overseeing quality assurance checks throughout the production process.
- Working closely with the quality control team to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
- Addressing quality issues promptly and implementing corrective actions.
Health and Safety:
- Promoting and enforcing health and safety regulations within the production environment.
- Conducting regular safety audits and risk assessments in collaboration with the safety team.

Qualifications and Education
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in production or manufacturing, preferably in the jewellery or precision manufacturing industry.
- A degree or diploma in manufacturing, production management, or a related field (desirable, not essential).
- Previous experience in jewellery production or related industries.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with CAD / CAM technology in manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with production management software and tools.
