The Role

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Production Coordinator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in streamlining our production processes, ensuring the timely and efficient flow of materials and information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Bill of Materials (BoM) creation, corrections, and maintenance on our ERP system.
  • Generate and oversee Job Orders, ensuring materials are prepared ahead of each operation.
  • Collect and process workshop data for BoM accuracy (setup times, run times, etc.).
  • Maintain and update system data and create data analyses using spreadsheets.
  • Coordinate material cutting, sizing, and component picking for manufacturing.
  • Facilitate swift movement of job orders and materials between internal operations, adhering to manufacturing sequences and deadlines.
  • Prepare material lists for purchasing, ensuring quality standards are met and materials are available as needed.
  • Liaise with various departments to clarify job order details and manage production costs.
  • Oversee quality control checks, packing, and preparation for the Assay Office, along with creating purchase orders for outwork services.
  • Monitor job progress, providing status updates to sales and tracking subcontractor operations.
  • Manage on-site tasks such as opening doors, handling mail / deliveries, and escorting subcontractors / visitors.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities like tracking stock quantities, managing cash for minor purchases, and collecting timesheets.

Ideal Candidate

  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with a strong understanding of materials management.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience from Jewellery or related industry.
  • Proficient in using Infor or similar ERP systems, with data analysis skills in Excel.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to liaise between different departments and external partners.
  • Detail-oriented with a knack for prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and production goals.
  • Ability to work independently and handle various tasks simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
  • Possessing hands-on production experience and demonstrating leadership skills to support and guide the team will be considered an advantageous asset.
