We are looking for an organised and proactive Production Administrator to join our manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a busy production environment and ensuring work moves smoothly through the workshop.

As Production Administrator, you will support the day-to-day running of our manufacturing operation. Working closely with Production Team Leaders, Administrators, and the Quality team, you will coordinate production activity, monitor progress and ensure jobs, materials and information are where they need to be.

You’ll be comfortable managing competing priorities, working at pace and taking pride in getting the details right.

What you'll be doing

Production Coordination

  • Support the day-to-day running of the workshops, ensuring jobs are moved to the correct production areas using our manufacturing systems.
  • Assign jobs to the setting team and ensure work is appropriately prioritised.
  • Produce daily progress and chase lists to support customer service lead times.
  • Monitor production orders and proactively follow up on delays or issues.
  • Collect and maintain daily production output figures.
  • Support Team Leaders and Administrators to maintain the smooth flow of production.

Administration & Systems

  • Maintain accurate production records and update information within our systems.
  • Log incoming JBR documentation and support the assessment and processing of jewellery repairs.
  • Complete general administration, including telephone calls and paperwork.
  • Use Navision and other manufacturing systems to manage production information and support system processes.

Materials, Stones & Outwork

  • Receive and log customer-owned stones and materials.
  • Allocate customer-supplied stones to relevant production orders, including bespoke jewellery.
  • Book and manage external outwork, ensuring items are accurately recorded and tracked.
  • Support stock takes and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure jobs, materials and stones are available when required.

Communication & Team Support

  • Communicate effectively across Production, Quality, Setting, and other internal teams.
  • Provide support and cover for Administrators, Quality Control and Team Leaders during absence.
  • Respond to production queries and escalate issues where appropriate.
  • Build positive working relationships across the workshop and wider business.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and production workflows.
  • Maintain accurate daily KPIs and production information.
  • Identify potential issues before they impact production or customer service.
  • Contribute ideas to improve efficiency and ways of working.

What we're looking for

Essential

  • Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, or workshop administration environment.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with data.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive, team-focused approach with the confidence to follow up and raise issues.
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.

Desirable

  • Experience in jewellery or precision manufacturing.
  • Workshop or production administration experience.
  • Knowledge of bespoke jewellery, CAD, and the jewellery estimation process.
  • Experience with Navision, ERP, or other manufacturing systems.
  • Quality Control experience or knowledge of quality processes.
  • Experience managing customer-owned materials or stones.

What you'll bring

You'll be organised, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You'll be able to manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively and make sure nothing gets missed.

You'll have a practical, can-do approach, be a quick learner and be willing to get involved wherever needed.

Most importantly, you'll be a collaborator who takes pride in getting things right and looks for ways to improve how we work.

If you're looking for a role where you can make a real contribution to a busy manufacturing operation, develop your skills and join a business with a proud heritage and exciting future, we'd love to hear from you.
