Role Overview:Role Overview

As a Jewellery Casting Technician, you will be responsible for transforming our clients fantastic designs into high-quality jewellery pieces through our precise casting processes. You will work closely with our CAD design and production teams to ensure the highest standards of quality throughout.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare 3D prints, moulds, waxes.
  • Organise and build trees according to casting requirements.
  • Use a variety of investment powders and investing methods.
  • Perform metal casting using various precious metal alloys, techniques and equipment.
  • Post processing of trees using jet washing, acid baths, and finishing media.
  • Cut-off and prepare castings.
  • Ensure all castings meet quality and design specifications.
  • Operate and maintain casting machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve casting issues to ensure smooth production.
  • Collaborate with CAD designers and other technicians to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Jewellery Casting Technician or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in various casting techniques and use of casting equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to read and interpret design specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards in a workshop environment and high situational awareness.

Desirable

  • Mould cutting and waxing.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM technology.
  • Bench skills.
  • Gas safety, First Aid, Fire Marshall certification.
