Sophie Harley London is a niche, bespoke British jewellery company with over 30 years’ experience creating and selling our own highly recognisable work to our ever expanding and extremely loyal worldwide customer base.

The Person

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual, with basic jewellery making skills to join our small studio team, to assist with the creation and finishing process of our beautiful jewellery made only in precious metals.

The applicant must be quick to learn new techniques and have a meticulous eye for detail.

About the Job

An important element of your role will be stopping out work for gold plating, along with oxidising and glass brushing the silver collections and assembling jewellery pieces.

You may also be required, on occasion, to assist with cleaning castings and solder pieces from our silver collections.

About the Candidate

We are looking for a friendly team player with a passion for jewellery who is able to manage their time and workload within a busy, friendly studio environment.

The applicant must be trustworthy and reliable with good time keeping.

Contract

Hours are part time, 2 - 3 days a week, between 10am – 5pm week days.

Hourly rate based on experience

About us

Award winning jewellery designer Sophie Harley is celebrated for her exquisitely designed handmade jewellery using only precious metals and stones. She flies the flag for a truly British brand and continues to design, create & manufacture all her pieces in London using traditional techniques.

Sophie began to develop her jewellery collections and launched her bespoke design service following her training at The Royal College of Art where she studied for an MA in jewellery design. Over 30 years on she continues to produce a range of unique and contemporary pieces that have created a cult following, the more famous of which have included Joss Stone, Kate Winslet, Jerry Hall, Judi Dench, Colin Firth, Kate Beckinsale and Naomi Campbell.

Sophie has worked on many exciting joint collaborations with De-Beers, Boodle & Dunthorne and Harvey Nichols whilst creating many one-off pieces for catwalk shows and music videos for artists including George Michael, Bryan Ferry and Enya. Sophie is also well known throughout the world for designing the legendary Algerian Love Knot necklace and earrings created for the James Bond films Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace.

Sophie has a distinctive and unique style of incorporating ancient and philosophical symbols with her signature winged heart symbol of love, hope and liberation, creating instantly recognisable and powerfully emotive jewellery pieces that have become ageless collectors’ items for generations.

Sophie’s beautiful studio in West London welcomes clients to browse existing collections or design & create their own bespoke pieces with Sophie or a member of her design team.
