Junior Jewellery Designer

Missoma

West London

At Missoma, we believe jewellery is more than just an accessory, it’s a form of self-expression. Founded in 2007 by Marisa Hordern, we’ve grown into a globally recognised brand known for our demi-fine and solid gold pieces, all designed in-house at our London studio and crafted with care.

We’re looking for a creative, detail-oriented Junior Jewellery Designer who’s passionate about turning ideas into beautiful, trend-led pieces. If you have a strong eye for design and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, have an understanding of jewellery construction and have a passion for creating commercially successful products, we’d love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working With Us

At Missoma, we live by three core values:

  • Authentic… We value honesty, open feedback, and conscious sustainability. You’ll be part of a team that genuinely cares about people and the planet.
  • Collaborative… Every voice matters. We foster inclusivity, creativity, and fun, working together to innovate and grow.
  • Entrepreneurial… We think big and act boldly. You’ll be encouraged to bring ideas, take initiative, and make a real impact.

Your Role as Junior Jewellery Designer

As Junior Jewellery Designer, you will support the Design team in creating innovative, trend-led jewellery collections that reflect Missoma’s brand DNA. You’ll contribute to the full design lifecycle — from concept development and CAD creation to visual presentation — ensuring all creative output is aligned with brand standards and seasonal direction. Your attention to detail and ability to translate ideas into compelling designs will help shape the future of our collections.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assist in the development of seasonal jewellery collections, contributing to concept creation, mood boards, and trend research.
  • Produce accurate and detailed technical specification sheets using Adobe Illustrator.
  • Review CAD designs, providing constructive feedback on form, proportion, and technical problem-solving.
  • Create high-quality visual assets to support design presentations and internal/external reviews.
  • Maintain and update visual range plans and presentation documents to track design changes.
  • Finalise design details and oversee pieces from advanced development through to second sample (pre-production) stage, once senior team input is no longer required.
  • Collaborate with Legal Counsel on design trademark requests (subject to role requirements).
  • Contribute to product descriptions and handover materials for content and marketing teams.
  • Attend weekly design meetings to track updates and ensure cross-functional action points are followed up promptly.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and market research to inform design direction.
  • Lead weekly supplier calls on behalf of the Design Team, communicating outcomes and required actions back to the team.

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a jewellery design role within a demi-fine, fine, or fashion jewellery brand, including at least 1 year in a junior position.
  • Strong understanding of jewellery construction and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent geometrical skills and 3D visualisation ability, with the capability to project front, side, section, and top views of an object.
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, with confidence in creating CADs and producing detailed technical specification sheets.
  • Highly organised, with exceptional attention to detail and strong time management skills.
  • Strong visual communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Design qualification preferred.
  • Proactive team player with a passion for jewellery and trend-led design.

What You’ll Get

  • Generous staff discount across our products and experiences.
  • Hybrid working model with flexible hours at our West London HQ.
  • Healthcare cash plan to support everyday wellbeing.
  • Enhanced parental leave after two years of service.
  • Annual paid volunteer day to give back to causes you care about.
  • Monthly team socials and events.
  • Access to cycle and tech schemes with easy monthly payments.

About Missoma

The pioneers of demi-fine jewellery since 2007, our purpose is to inspire confidence and make you look good and feel good – bringing you jewellery you can layer, stack, and live in.

Award-winning designs at an affordable price with quality that lasts; it’s a formula that’s grown us a cult following over the years, largely through word of mouth. It’s all because of you, as you’re our biggest advocate.

At our heart we’re passionate about design, sketching and brainstorming everything in-house at our London studio before it’s made by hand from responsibly sourced materials. 100% sustainable jewellery doesn’t exist but we’re as close as we can be. Every piece of ours takes an entire year to make – from design to development to your doorstep.
